Lloyd has been above perfect today. Laying lazily in any sunny spot he found but..

Suddenly a Duck appears! Straight into hunting mode.

Kinja'd!!!

This phamera isn’t quick enough.

Kinja'd!!!

Good Boy! If we weren’t in the Suburbs I could have nailed that Quacker too.

Kinja'd!!!

Oh well.. Back to being lazy.

That’s a fine looking Dog! The snow? I’m done with that crap for the season.

He was disappointed when he couldn’t actually retrieve it.

He loves snow almost as much as he loves to swim.

Love it. I’ll just pass this story along, it’s an animal thing.

Friend of mine was a caretaker at a wolf enclosure. Two 10' high fences 5' apart is what kept them in. There was a pond at one edge, and sometimes ducks would show up.

The caretaker saw the pack laying on the ridge above, “sleeping”, sunning themselves. As he came around to the pond, the ducks spooked and starting flying up the ridge away from the caretaker, about 5-6' off the ground. The caretaker just watched the alpha male’s ears swivel, tracking as they came up the hill, then he went from laying in the sun to vertical 6' jump up to nab one of the ducks out of the air as it flew past. It dragged the duck to the den (they’d just recently pupped), then went back to lolling on the ridge. None of the other wolves moved, but they all watched and everyone went back to sleep.
